Mylar® A Du Pont

Polyester film MYLAR® A is made from polyethylene terephthalate, this polymer is the result of the condensation between ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid.

Maximum working temperature: 130°C (up to 150°C) - B dielectric class limit
Minimum working temperature: -70°C

 

Characteristics: Insulating paper suitable for transformers insulation, it can be used to cover cables and wires, capacitors, membrane switches and in all those electrical applications that require:
excellent electrical insulation - excellent mechanical resistance – good thermal resistance

 

Availability:
Original rolls: 1000 ST (Mylar® 1000 mm - working length 1000 mm), 500 SM rolls 1000 ST cut in half.
Slit rolls: starting from 6,9 mm in height, inner diameter (ID) 76 mm, outer diameter (OD) on request.

 

Color: transparent for thickness 0,023 mm – translucent for the other thicknesses

 

Processing are carried out both on insulating papers normally available in stock, and on other insulation papers on customer request.
Any type of insulating paper can be supplied as follows:
- Whole original rolls or unpacked rolls
- Rolls cut to the width required by the customer
- Edged rolls
- Fringed rolls
- Customized processing is carried out under specific customer request (e.g.: shaped items, die cut, slot wedges...)
