FR5 EPOXY GLASS SHEETS – Class H 180°C
Thermal class: H 180°C
Self-extinguishing – halogen-free
Self-extinguishing – halogen-free
Laminate based on glass fabric and epoxy resin for high temperatures, used for machined and punched parts
PROPERTIES
✔ Low water absorption
✔ Good dielectric properties
✔ Excellent mechanical properties at high temperatures
✔ Self-extinguishing
✔ Halogen-free
Thermal class: H 180°C
Colour: red brown
Specific weight: 1.95 gr/cm3
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:
Applications similar to G11, differing in their self-extinguishing properties.
Construction of class F/H motors.
It is used in transformers, alternators, bases, wedges, separators, and bars. Epoxy glass fibers have a glass fabric support with very specific characteristics, designed to retain epoxy resin with which the fabrics are impregnated and subsequently heat-pressed at high temperatures, thus obtaining laminates with excellent mechanical properties, electrical insulation even in humid environments, chemical resistance, tensile strength, compression strength, and dimensional stability.
Used primarily in the electromechanical and electronics sectors. Examples of uses for the product in low thicknesses include: bases, washers, and contact holders.
In high thicknesses, a wide variety of custom shapes are produced where dielectric insulation and mechanical strength are required.
It is also excellent in the molding sector as an insulator for press plates.
It is an excellent choice for the production of screws, nuts, and bolts.
