AQUANEL®014-3997/40 Mafel is a single-component, water-soluble epoxy emulsion developed for the impregnation and coating of rotating and stationary electrical windings. Thanks to its water-based formulation, it is the ideal alternative to solvent-based resins, reducing environmental impact without compromising electrical insulation.

AQUANEL® 014-3997/40 offers high-level technical characteristics:
- dielectric strength: greater than 110 kv/mm (at 23°c).
- viscosity: calibrated for optimal penetration (200-500 mpas at 25°c).
- chemical resistance: excellent stability against solvent vapours (xylene, methanol, hexane) and chemical agents such as acids, bases and transformer oils.
- thermal stability: maintains high insulating properties even under conditions of prolonged thermal stress.
Polymerization and storage methods
To achieve maximum performance, AQUANEL® 014-3997/40 requires a thermal curing cycle:
- Curing cycle: typical oven curing parameters are 2-4 hours at 130-150°C (time may vary depending on the mass of the component).
- application: suitable for dipping and dip-roll processes.
- Storage: Store strictly between 5°C and 25°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. Shelf life is 6 months if stored in its original conditions.
