Elmotherm® VF 970 is a paint composed of solvent-based modified epoxy resins.

Due to its high binding power even at high temperatures and its excellent resistance to humidity and flexibility, it can be used in the impregnation of all electrical machines where high performance is required.

The paint can be thinned with D 133 thinner.

Polymerization is initiated by heat and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a three-dimensionally cross-linked thermosetting product is obtained that is perfectly insoluble and infusible.

Elmotherm® VF 970 is used for the impregnation of electrical machines such as:
• transformers
• stators
• windings
• inductors
• traction coils
• hermetic applications
