ELMOTHERM® FS 190: Air-drying, non-marking paint

ELMOTHERM®FS 190 Mafel is a solvent-based alkyd resin that dries rapidly at room temperature. Reacting with atmospheric oxygen, it forms a duroplastic three-dimensional polymer that ensures excellent electrical properties and effective protection against oxidation of metal surfaces.

Anti-trace and protective properties

FS 190 paint is designed to offer maximum reliability in dynamic operating environments:

• Anti-tracking technology: Excellent anti-tracking characteristics to prevent surface currents.
• chromatic versatility: available in transparent or red pigmented version (FS 190 red) for better visibility of the coverage.
• chemical resistance: effective barrier against humidity, solvent vapours (acetone, xylene, methanol) and chemical agents such as acids and bases.
• PCB protection: also ideal for coating and protecting printed circuit boards.

Technical specifications and performance

The technical data confirm the high insulating profile of the elmotherm fs 190:

• dielectric strength: greater than 135 kv/mm (measured at 23°c).
• thermal resistance: maintains excellent dielectric properties even at high temperatures (over 100 kv/mm at 155°C).
• Water absorption: extremely low, less than 5 mg at 23°C.
• dilution: to obtain the desired viscosity, we recommend using diluents d 225 or d 107.
