VOLTAFLEX® 2598 (DMD Unsaturated) - Class B 130°C – Class F 155°C
VOLTAFLEX® 2598
DMD Unsaturated
VOLTAFLEX® 2598 is a flexible, three-layer insulation material (DMD) composed of a polyester film interleaved with two layers of polyester nonwoven fabric. The polyester nonwoven layer increases the polyester's resistance to thermal aging. Its "70% saturated" nature allows it to be impregnated with insulating resins that saturate it 100%, determining its thermal class. The polyester film, by varying its thickness, allows for a wide range of laminates.
Maximum Operating Temperature: Class B – 130 (IEC 60626)
0.14 and 0.15 thickness Class B – 130°C (UL 1446)
All other thicknesses Class F – 155°C (UL 1446)
Minimum operating temperature: resin -60°C / polyester -60°C
Insulating paper suitable for the insulation of transformers, in slots in motors and in all those electrical applications that require:
excellent electrical insulation - excellent mechanical resistance - excellent thermal resistance
