ISONOM®NMN 0881 Mafel is a high-performance flexible insulating material, composed of a polyester (PET) film coated on both sides with NOMEX® (DuPont) aramid paper type 464. This structure guarantees a perfect balance between excellent electrical insulation, mechanical resistance and thermal stability.
Thermal properties and extreme resistance
The ISONOM® NMN 0881 is designed to operate under severe thermal conditions:
- Thermal class: certified in class FH (155/180°C) according to the IEC 60626 standard and in class H (180°C) according to UL 1446.
- extreme resistance: the nomex® component maintains its properties up to -196°C.
- versatility: by varying the thickness of the central polyester film, it is possible to obtain a wide range of laminates for every project requirement.
Technical specifications and performance
The technical characteristics of the isonom nmn 0881 ensure maximum reliability:
- perforation voltage: depending on the nominal thickness, the values vary from ≥7 kv (0.14 mm thickness) up to ≥28 kv (0.48 mm thickness).
- mechanical resistance: it has a high breaking load, reaching 410 n/cm in the largest thicknesses.
- Applications: Ideal for insulating transformers and in electric motor slots.
Processing and availability
Mafel offers a complete customization service to meet every production need:
- Custom work: we supply cut, shaped, and die-cut pieces according to the customer's specific requests or drawings.
- formats: availability of original 920 mm rolls or rolls cut starting from a minimum height of 6.9 mm.
- Approvals: UL approved product (isovolta ag file e208136 and isovolta sau file e196122).
We process both the insulating papers normally in stock and other insulating papers upon customer request.
Any type of insulating paper can be supplied as follows:
- Original rolls, whole or unwound
- Rolls cut to the customer's requested width
- Bordered rolls
- Slit rolls
- Customized processing (e.g., shaped, die-cut, lunettes, tiles, etc.)
