15C silicone glass tubing: flexible insulation for high temperatures

Mafel 15C silicone-coated glass braided tubing is a thermal and electrical insulation solution designed to withstand extreme conditions. Thanks to its high flexibility and resistance to heat spikes, it is the ideal component for Class C wiring and windings.

Main technical features

The glass-silicone tube stands out for its superior mechanical and chemical performance:

• Thermal class: classified in class C, with continuous operating temperature from -60°c to +250°c and peaks up to +290°c.
• fire safety: self-extinguishing and halogen-free material , compliant with NF F 16-101/16-102 standards.
• specific resistances: excellent resistance to UV, transformer oils and liquid fuels without decomposition.
• Compatibility: perfect behavior with CE class impregnation paints during welding operations.

Variants of dielectric strength

We offer three different types of tubing to meet different electrical insulation needs:

1. tubvsc15: dielectric strength 1500 v.
2. tubvsc25: dielectric strength 2500 v.
3. tubvsc40: dielectric strength 4000 v.

Dimensions and supply formats

The tube is available in a wide range of diameters to suit any wiring:

• diameters produced: from 0.5 mm to 30 mm.
• standard color: brick red (other colors available on request).
• Packaging: supplied in skeins of 200m (up to ø 4mm), 100m (up to ø 16mm) or 500m (over ø 18mm).

Certifications and standards

The product complies with the RoHS 2011/65/EU directive. A version with UL 1441/CSA approval (file UZIQ2-E330510) approved according to the VW-1 flame retardancy test is available upon request .
