Elmotherm® VA 42 is a fast-drying, solvent-based alkyd resin. It has excellent electrical properties and is anti-tracking. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic, three-dimensional polymer is obtained. It protects all metal surfaces from oxidation and is the ideal paint for impregnating small and medium-sized transformers, coils, stators, and various types of windings where rapid air drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards. Reducer X2 solvent is recommended for diluting this paint.
