Elmotherm® VA160E2 is a fast-drying, air-cured, solvent-based alkyd resin free of aromatic solvents. It has excellent electrical characteristics, is anti-tracking, and has good fungicidal properties. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic, three-dimensional polymer is obtained. It protects all metal surfaces from oxidation; it is the ideal paint for impregnating small and medium-sized transformers, coils, stators, and various types of windings where rapid air drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards. To dilute this paint, we recommend using D107 or D127 solvent.
