Elmotherm® VA 160 E1 is a fast-drying, air-cured, solvent-based alkyd resin free of aromatic solvents. It has excellent electrical and anti-tracing characteristics with good fungicidal properties. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic three-dimensional polymer is obtained. Protecting all metal surfaces against oxidation, it is the ideal paint for impregnating small and medium-sized transformers, coils, stators, and various types of windings where rapid air drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards. To dilute this paint, we recommend using D 107 or D 127 solvent.
