Elmotherm® 009-0008 is a fast-drying, solvent-based, air-cured alkyd resin. It has excellent electrical and anti-tracking properties, with good fungicidal properties. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic, three-dimensional polymer is obtained. It protects all metal surfaces against oxidation and is the ideal paint for impregnating small and medium-sized transformers, coils, stators, and various types of windings where rapid air drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards. Thinner® X2 is recommended for diluting this paint.
