Elmotherm® VA 42 spray paint is a very fast-drying, solvent-based air-cured alkyd resin. It has excellent electrical properties, is anti-tracking, and resistant to mold, fungi, and algae. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds through a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic, three-dimensional polymer is obtained. It protects all metal surfaces from oxidation and is the ideal paint for impregnating small and medium-sized transformers, coils, stators, and various types of windings where rapid air drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards.
To clean parts applied with this paint, D 100 solvent is recommended.
