Elmotherm® VA 177 S in a 0.400 ml spray can is a very fast-drying, solvent-based air-cured alkyd resin. It has excellent electrical and anti-tracing characteristics with good fungicidal properties. Curing occurs in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and proceeds with a rapid chain reaction until a highly bonded, duroplastic three-dimensional polymer is obtained. It protects all metal surfaces against oxidation and is the ideal paint for applications and touch-ups on transformers where rapid air-drying is required. The product can also be used for coating and protecting printed circuit boards. To clean parts applied with this paint, D 100 thinner is recommended.
